Description Maciej Piechotka 2009-08-08 20:48:56 UTC
I think that doc USE flag should be used only to enable/disable documentation installed while gtkdoc should be used to indicate rebuilding documentation.

Rationale:
- Consistency
- Rebuilding docs is sometimes rather long. If someone wants to have full docs and doesn't want to rebuild them (s)he should have doc enabled and gtkdoc disabled
- In some cases (Some versions from gnome overlay of: gnome-extra/evolution-data-server, gnome-base/gnome-keyring, dev-libs/glib, gnome-extra/gtkhtml, net-im/empathy)
- For minimal systems documentation should not be installed

Reproducible: Always

This was discussed in last meeting but nothing was done yet:
