Description Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-01-29 07:25:32 UTC
A newer snapshot of slime should be taken. And the last snapshot should be stabilised
Comment 1 Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2009-01-29 07:31:35 UTC
I wonder if we should split off dev-lisp/swank as an own package, as suggested in bug 240327.

Stelian, are you o.k. with slime-2.0_p20080731 being stbilised?
Comment 2 Stelian Ionescu 2009-01-29 15:06:47 UTC
I think that _p20080731 could be stabilized, although it's stable only compared to how SLIME generally is, pretty much in flux.

Splitting slime in dev-lisp/swank, app-emacs/slime and app-xemacs/slime is ok, keeping in mind that they must always be kept in sync

The latter is what I wanted to know. If the versions are really bound together, then we shouldn't split it without a real need. So I suggest that we postpone any decision until there is activity on the XEmacs side.

Stabilisation of slime-2.0_p20080731 is handled in bug 257082.
Comment 5 Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2010-11-21 12:30:18 UTC
slime-2.0_p20101103 committed to portage tree.
Thanks Stelian.
