After booting the 2008.0_beta2 LiveCD, I didn't have network access. After searching in the forums, I came across a post that stated that there weren't any networking modules on the CD and I confirm it. I quote: After booting the 2008.0_beta2 LiveCD and realizing my ethernet card wasn't up I took a peek in /lib/modules/<kernel name>/kernel/drivers/ to find out there was no 'net' folder. Is this a problem with the installation media or am I missing something? Without modules, we can't have network access on our shiny Gentoo boxes, access the online manual, etc.. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. boot the 2008.0_beta2 LiveCD 2. ls /lib/modules/<kernel name>/kernel/drivers/ Actual Results: There's no "net" folder Expected Results: There should be a "net" folder
