Description Paul Moore 2003-06-04 10:18:02 UTC
XEmacs 21.4.12 has some rather serious stability problems on Gentoo Alpha. I
have built the package with CFLAGS="-mcpu=ev5 -g -O0" and using the config flags
"--with-system-malloc", "--pdump", and "--enable-debug" all to no-avail. I am
attaching a log of the past few crashes as well as the core dumps.

If you need any more information please let me know. XEmacs is very important
to my use of Gentoo and I will be more than happy to help debug the problem.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. xemacs
2.
3.

Actual Results:
It exploded and killed a dozen small kittens in the ensuing fireball.

Expected Results:
A happy, content editor.
