Tried app-misc/tracker-0.6.6-r1, doesn't crash and seems to work fine. So let this be a stable request for 0.6.6-r1? Or an unstable request for 0.6.3?

I encounterd other problems with 0.6.6-r1 whereby I am not sure if they are limited to this version. I didn't made any successfull search yet as the indexing itself is not working correctly or just takes so long because of this other problem. See bug #216295.
I think this app shouldn't be marked as stable yet. A new crash for me: see bug #216482 Still, I didn't made to do any successfull indexing of my system yet, it just don't work. See also bug #216295 I think also 0.6.3 should be marked as unstable.
emerging with USE="applet -deskbar" results in unusable package - there is no way to search using graphical interface as tracker-search-tool is not installed. Indexing goes ok.

So what do I do to have the tracker-search-tool? Do I have to USE="deskbar"? It pulls tons of dependencies (that's why I switched it off). I found nothing informative in /usr/portage/profiles/use.local.desc Besides I thought if "Search" is right there in the menu, it's a default feature. If not then remove it if search-tool is not installed, please - and add info to the ebuild (displayed after emerge) that the tracker is crippled because someONE doesn't need te Search feature.
To get 'tracker-search-tool', build tracker with the 'gnome' use flag

Tracker 0.6 is gone, 0.7.10 has been added to the tree and live ebuild has been updated to git repository with 0.7 deps. Please give them a shot. I'll start adding back tracker support to apps as patches come in. Thanks for your patience.
