I have glib-2.14.6 installed but it seems it can definitely not find it.

Reproducable : Everytime gtk+ is compiled

I don't see how this can happen. We have >=dev-libs/glib-2.13.5 in gtk+-2.12.8 ebuild and newer...

Just got this same problem under amd64 Gentoo, trying to compile x11-libs/gtk+-2.14.4
