A version bump to 2.8.0 should fix this error: Upgrade of the Tcl/Tk library from version 8.3.4 to 8.5.0 (to benefit from this UNIX users must also upgrade their installed Tcl/Tk libraries, which is highly recommended due to improvements in widget appearances) More changes in http://nxtvepg.sourceforge.net
I added the new version into portage.
Well, it still fails for me as tcl-8.5 is package.masked. So either conditionally apply the tcl-8.5 patch, OR do mask nxtvepg-2.8.0 as long as tcl-8.5 is masked.

ping, please add the correct dependency to 2.8.0 and mask it.
this bug is still valid. please fix. Trys to compile against TCL 8.5 though 8.5 is not installed!
