It may be too late but I would personally like to see partimage added to the next Gentoo LiveCD release. Would be very useful.

As much as I would love to add this, it's only stable on x86 and I'm trying to keep x86/amd64 media as similar as possible.  We'll revisit this one next release, unless you can convince the maintainer that it needs to be tested/stabilized on amd64, and actually get the work done by somebody.

I think that we'll have to wait for the next release because upstream 0.6.7 (2008-02-03) has been patched for amd64 so I doubt it can be stabilized now.
