Please test and keyword dev-python/numpy-1.0.3.
Comment 1 Gustavo Zacarias (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-06-13 12:46:03 UTC
Why?
Comment 2 Lukasz Strzygowski (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-06-13 13:23:14 UTC
It's going to be a dep of packages using previously dev-python/numeric. See #181653.

HPPA: dev-python:numpy-1.0.3:20070613-114217.log

[ebuild R ] dev-python/numpy-1.0.3 USE="-debug (-lapack)" 0 kB

For testing it seems to depend on some BLAS implementation or other so it's probably a good idea to set up some DEPEND when FEATURES=test.

It should not depend on external blas lib if the lapack use flag is not set, using internal much simplified implementations. If it does, let me know. The "not available" blas libraries in the log are just warnings.

Fair enough, ~sparc'd.

Marked ~hppa.

This bug shouldn't be closed?
Comment 9 Santiago M. Mola (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-08-20 22:39:28 UTC
This should be keyworded for arm, mips, s390, sh and x86-fbsd.
numeric is ~arch or stable for those arches. 32bits arches are not critic but numpy will eventually need the same keywords as numeric.
Comment 10 juantxorena@gmail.com 2007-10-27 14:36:03 UTC
IMHO this bug will never be fixed if the remaining arches aren't in the CC list.

dev-python/numpy-1.0.4 is in stable for everything except x86-fbsd.

Copied from the ebuild:
alpha amd64 hppa ia64 ppc ppc64 sparc x86 ~x86-fbsd"

Shouldn't this bug be closed now?

Best wishes,
Arne

It must be keyworded in arm, mips, s390 and sh? (what's that?) because numeric is keyworded in those, but it seems that nobody cares about this bug anymore.

hi there. if you want us to keyword something, it helps to actually CC us.

mipsed.
Comment 18 juantxorena@gmail.com 2008-06-26 11:18:13 UTC
Is there anybody using gentoo on a non-emulated s390 or superh? Is being used in a production environment that justifies that a lot of bugs are blocked because of those arches, and not being only a techie personal interest or something experimental? Is there anybody in python team, if such thing exists?

IOW: *bump*
