Hi, The demo script of >=gnuplot-py-1.7 fails when dev-python/numeric-23.7 is installed upgading to dev-python/numeric-23.8 fixes the problem. dev-python/numeric-23.8 is "~amd64" while gnuplot-py-1.7 is "amd64". If eligible marking "dev-python/numeric-23.8" stable would fix the problem. This does not seems to be amd64 specific as packages has same keyworking I can test on x86 on request. Thanks, Aur

Since numeric is deprecated in favor of numpy, changing subject and adding bug #181888 as dependency.
There's no version in portage that depends on numeric. This shouldn't be closed?
