I'm sorry but I didn't save the error message. But the problem is that currently Gimp doesn't pull in Glitz in portage, but it depends on it. Manually installing Glitz and then installing Gimp works.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to install Gimp without having Glitz installed
Actual Results:  
Build process fails
