I have just had to dig 9626 out of the attic since 9629 SEG FAULTS on 4200 Ti cards. (recognised bug known to nvidia ) earlier 8776 fails to build on 2.6.17* kernels .... -1.0.8776/work/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8776-pkg0/usr/src/nv/nv-i2c.c /usr/portage/tmp/portage/x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-1.0.8776/work/NVIDIA-Linux-x 86-1.0-8776-pkg0/usr/src/nv/nv-i2c.c:26: error: unknown field 'slave_send' speci fied in initializer /usr/portage/tmp/portage/x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-1.0.8776/work/NVIDIA-Linux-x 86-1.0-8776-pkg0/usr/src/nv/nv-i2c.c:27: error: unknown field 'slave_recv' speci fied in initializer make[3]: *** [/usr/portage/tmp/portage/x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-1.0.8776/work/ NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8776-pkg0/usr/src/nv/nv-i2c.o] Error 1 make[2]: *** [_module_/usr/portage/tmp/portage/x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-1.0.87 76/work/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8776-pkg0/usr/src/nv] Error 2 NVIDIA: left KBUILD. nvidia.ko failed to build! make[1]: *** [mdl] Error 1 make: *** [module] Error 2 !!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if rel evant. 9742 is hard masked. It seems the only nvidia drivers in portage that actually work with this card have been hidden in the attic. Could we please knock the dust of 9626 and bring it back to light for those with GeForce4200 Ti, a great card. Thx.
