The package provides a modified ebuild for dvdauthor-0.6.11 that allows different subtitle colours other than the default grey. The patch is included in the files/ directory because it has a very reduced size.

What does this patch do exactly (what is hard-enabled with it)?
Changed usage of dvdauthor?
Does it modify its behaviour for any people not being aware of that patch in strange ways?

It allows to use other subtitles colors than the default. Just that.
