Plus, corrected dependencies, uses autotools eclass, and a few stylistic improvements. And by the way, unac is an optional dependency for the upcoming app-misc/tracker-0.6 release.

Unac is now in the Sunrise overlay: http://overlays.gentoo.org/svn/proj/sunrise/reviewed/app-text/unac/ You can use layman to get updates (layman -a sunrise).
app-text/unac-1.8.0 is now in portage.
