Overview Description:

When I try to "emerge --update world,"  emerge stops with the proceeding error.  


Steps to Reproduce:

"emerge --update world"  will continue to produce the same error.

Linux version 2.6.15-gentoo-r1 (root@db_server01) (gcc version 3.4.4 (Gentoo 3.4.4-r1, ssp-3.4.4-1.0, pie-8.7.8)) #4 SMP PREEM

emerge --info, please. Also, it the issue reproducible (fails again at *exactly* the same place?).

Here is the emerge info. Also the error does not occur in the same location.  Does this imply a hardware problem?

Not an openoffice bug then. See Bug 20600 for suggestions.
