Description Karl Ernst Brunk 2005-12-06 06:25:30 UTC
An update to openoffice-2.0.0 does not delete the files of the previous version.
So how will the user be able to delete the old installation without emerge -C
2.0.0 -> emerge  =app-office/openoffice/openoffice-1.1.4-r1 -> deleting that
again and emerge 2.0.0 again.
14 hours of compiling (distcc becomes disabled during the build) ?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge -Du openoffice
2.
3.
Actual Results:
after the build do updatedb and locate something like openoffice and you will
find all 1.1.4 files.
Did this update from 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 . Both are still installed.

Expected Results:
The previous version should be deletet.

This might touch also some other bugs reported after 2.0-update. Mixture between
the two installations.

Of course it does not, these versions are slotted.
