The license is GPL. At least that is what is noted on the download page. Not AS-IS. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Not mentioned in the source at all.

The source code is maintained in Gitorious now, and there is some information in the following commit: https://gitorious.org/digger/digger/commit/6ef44e1ba4d1da7271c4d2a7d65e71d22b685863 | Q: Is this legal? | | A: Yes! Recently the original author of Digger, Rob Sleath, contacted me. | He no longer owns the copyright to Digger (or the other games) but he did | retain the right to use the code for development of other products. | He considers Digger Remastered to be another product, and has granted me | copyright to Digger Remastered, which I have chosen to license under the | GNU GPL. | | My distributing of the original games is, strictly speaking, not legal. | According to intellectual property law, a work copyrighted by a company | continues to be copyrighted for 75 years. Licenses team, please comment.
| He considers Digger Remastered to be another product, and has granted me | copyright to Digger Remastered, which I have chosen to license under the | GNU GPL. If he has source copyright, then sure, this is probably OK. Even if it weren't, I do not think we could be hold liable for this guy's potential fuck up. But IANAL.
The question is which version exactly is considered remastered? And who holds the actual copyright.
(In reply to Julian Ospald (hasufell) from comment #5) > The question is which version exactly is considered remastered? To be safe, I would say the package should be bumped to some version derived from the Gitorious repo. > And who holds the actual copyright. The committer of that paragraph? Per Øyvind Karlsen <peroyvind@mandriva.org> But yes, maybe we should ask upstream.
(In reply to Ulrich Müller from comment #6) > The committer of that paragraph? Per Øyvind Karlsen <peroyvind@mandriva.org> > But yes, maybe we should ask upstream. Mail to this address bounced.
Sent again, trying different address.
(In reply to Ulrich Müller from comment #8) > Sent again, trying different address. No answer.
Created attachment 376750 [details] Reply from Per Øyvind Karlsen
(In reply to Ulrich Müller from comment #10) > Created attachment 376750 [details] > Reply from Per Øyvind Karlsen I believe this clarifies that "Digger Remastered" hosted at gitorious can be distributed under the GPL. Closing.
