Hi, The mit-krb5-1.21.3-r1 package adds sys-fs/e2fsprogs[${MULTILIB_USEDEP}] to BDEPEND. This breaks cross emerge, as the build system is unlikely to have the same multilib USE flags as the target, so the dependency cannot be satisfied. % mips64-unknown-linux-gnuabin32-emerge -pv mit-krb5 [...] emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy ">=sys-fs/e2fsprogs-1.46.4-r51[abi_x86_32(-)?,abi_x86_64(-)?,abi_x86_x32(-)?,abi_mips_n32(-)?,abi_mips_n64(-)?,abi_mips_o32(-)?,abi_s390_32(-)?,abi_s390_64(-)?]". (dependency required by "app-crypt/mit-krb5-1.21.3-r1::gentoo" [ebuild]) (dependency required by "mit-krb5" [argument]) There is no such problem cross compiling mit-krb5-1.21.3. I imagine the BDEPEND should just be changed to plain sys-fs/e2fsprogs (only the compile_et application appears to be required on the build system, not any libraries). Library depdnedencies belong in DEPEND. This also breaks cross-compiles. Note that as I mentioned compile_et application (a program from the e2fsprogs package) is actually required to be available on the build system. So something like BDEPEND="sys-fs/e2fsprogs ..." (without MULTILIB_USEDEP) is presumably still needed.
(In reply to Nick Bowler from comment #2) Thanks, I'll add that.
