In tree for 304 days. Is it ready? Remember to file stabilisation requests for your packages. If it's ready, add CC-ARCHES to the 'keywords' field of this bug.

amd64 stable
Comment 2 Frank Krömmelbein 2021-12-06 20:03:09 UTC
After this update here, my scanner Epson Perfection V200 Photo stopped working.
Many older Epson scanners are not compatible with iscan 3.x.x.x versions.

A while ago there was a discussion to prevent this situation, please see here

Wouldn't masking iscan-3* solve your problem? I do realize iscan-2 and iscan-3 (actually imagescan) are incompatible.

    media-gfx/iscan: drop 3.x back to ~arch

3.x is totally different to 2.x, need to handle properly, see bug.

Looks like upstream sources disappeared already for some time now. I believe they preffered software now is https://support.epson.net/linux/en/epsonscan2.php

It has to be noted that iscan (actually imagescan) sources disappeared from Epson website on 3 Nov 2022 without any prior notification (Source: https://gitlab.com/utsushi/utsushi/-/issues/102#note_1257270315)
It looks like Epson abandoned imagescan in favour of epsonscan2 (https://support.epson.net/linux/en/epsonscan2.php)
