After upgrading to sys-apps/systemd-2.45.5, my systems hang at the boot splash. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Reboot the system after emerging sys-apps/systemd-2.45.5 with sys-boot/plymouth-0.94-r1 installed Actual Results: The system hangs at the plymouth boot screen. Expected Results: A system that boots. It's resolved by installing sys-boot/plymouth-0.95-r1 P.S.: A separate bug report as requested in https://bugs.gentoo.org/734762.
Again, systemd-2.45.5 does not exist. Please type the version correctly in the future. Given that this is resolved in a newer version of plymouth, I am re-assigning this bug.
The bug is identified and fixed upstream with plymouth-0.9.5. See: https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/15091 https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/plymouth/plymouth/-/merge_requests/99
