pbmtopsg3: [1]

## If ps-roundtrip.test succeeds and this test fails, it is most likely
## a problem with one of the alternate Postscipt utilities:
## pbmtoepsi, pbmtopsg3, pbmtolps or psidtopgm.
## If both tests fail it indicates a problem with pstopnm or gs.

make: *** [GNUmakefile:452: check] Error 1
 * ERROR: media-libs/netpbm-10.70.00::gentoo failed (test phase):
 *   emake failed

The failing subtest is the second:

    # Test 2. Should print: 2425386270 41
    testgrid2_ps=${tmpdir}/testgrid2.ps

    pbmtolps -dpi 72 testgrid.pbm \
         > ${testgrid2_ps} && \
    pstopnm -xborder=0 -yborder=0 -dpi=72 -stdout \
        -quiet ${testgrid2_ps} -pbm | \
      pnmcrop | cksum

    rm ${testgrid2_ps}

it should print "2425386270 41", but instead prints "2723935441 43" even when run manually. Test #1 and test #3 work fine.

Same thing happens with netpbm-10.76.00.

Comment 1 Paolo Pedroni 2018-11-05 12:05:23 UTC
Last time I emerged media-libs/netpbm (September 10th), all tests ran fine, and as far as I can determine, no dependency of netpbm has changed since then.
Comment 2 Paolo Pedroni 2018-11-05 12:12:31 UTC
Downgrading to ghostscript-gpl-9.21 and rebuilding media-libs/netpbm makes tests pass successfully.
Comment 3 Andreas Sturmlechner gentoo-dev 2018-11-13 11:02:07 UTC
Can you reproduce the problem with 10.76.00?
Comment 4 Paolo Pedroni 2018-11-13 11:35:26 UTC
(In reply to Andreas Sturmlechner from comment #3)
> Can you reproduce the problem with 10.76.00?

As I said in the OP, the same thing happens with 10.76.00 (unless the ebuild changed in the meantime).
Comment 5 Viorel Munteanu gentoo-dev 2021-05-10 17:13:25 UTC
Still happens in 10.86.21
Fixed by upstream in or before 10.94.2
