Howzit Jaco,

Can you please attach a proper ebuild (ie, with headers intact). For an example of what we look for in the headers, see /usr/portage/skel.ebuild
Comment 3 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-07 20:22:48 UTC
Oh and please reopen this bug when you've done that

wdghtml-4.0.ebuild

This will hopefully fix it, please let me know.
Comment 5 Jaco Kroon 2004-03-09 03:07:26 UTC
As requested, updated ebuild now available, please check.

wdghtml-40.ebuild

renamed the ebuild (version screw up) in order to enable correct download, also
changed install location from /usr/share/doc/wdg-html-40
/usr/share/doc/wdghtml-40 which is more consistent with package naming.

cheers jaco
Comment 8 Jaco Kroon 2004-03-16 01:45:42 UTC
Now you probably need a maintainer for these ebuilds?
Comment 9 Markus Nigbur (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-12 16:15:34 UTC
Think seemant random assigned this to me, wouldn't it be something for the webapps herd?
Comment 10 Markus Nigbur (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-29 20:03:11 UTC
Tried it the nice way..
Comment 11 Renat Lumpau (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-30 11:17:25 UTC
I'm not understanding the need for this ebuild, when the documentation is available online.
Comment 12 Jaco Kroon 2004-08-30 14:20:12 UTC
Not everybody has a permanent connection, and in some cases even those that do don't want to waste bandwidth on this.

Yes, I live in a country where bandwidth is expensive - it's a commodity that is very precious. It is also usefull if one is maintaining mirrors for internal use, such as the one we are building up on http://docs.cs.up.ac.za/ - just makes life slightly easier.
Comment 13 Stuart Herbert (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-31 12:30:21 UTC
I think this ebuild is a good idea, and I can see how it would be useful. In fact, I think it'd be great to see ebuilds for the rest of their documentation too.

Best regards,
Stu

I've created (and submitted) one for wdgcss too and I've started on the validator but somewhere along the line I got distracted and in the meantime too many projects have popped up.
Comment 15 Chris Mayo 2004-11-14 13:27:43 UTC
An ebuild for the Validator at #71201

wdghtml is now in our unofficial overlay:
http://svn.gnqs.org/projects/gentoo-webapps-overlay/browser/experimental/www-apps/wdghtml

Please note that the overlay is unofficial, not a Gentoo project, and not
supported. It is intended to provide easier access to new web applications.
