When trying to boot the gentoo kernel for the live cd i run across an error kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k binfmt -9653, errno=8 The first time I booted I entered kernel options, then I reboot with no options and still the same problem Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Expected Results: LiveCD boot fine AMD-K II 500 Soyo SY-5EMA 256 RAM 3dfx VooDoo 3
The livecd actually fails to boot? Are there any other messages after that one?
No that error message just loops. it doesnt stop, I was going to try and reburn the cd incase it was just a bad copy
I downladed another iso and tried reburning it and it seems to work. The error occured between step 5a2 and 6a

I have tried both minimal and universal; both gave me the same errors. I tried minimal last week and got the same output. Waiting until this week, since there is no new iso, I redownload both, checks their md5sum, and compare them after writing to CD. But booting them on my laptop PII gave the same effect. By the way, livecd 1.4 booting is fine. Should I open a new bug?
