After STEP 6 in the booting process I get the following error message 
in an endless loop:
kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k binfmf-9653, errno = 8


Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot install-x86-universal-2004.0.iso or install-x86-minimal-2004.0.iso
2. start gentoo-nofb with any combination of the kernel options
3. wait until STEP 5 is finished

Actual Results:  
endless loop showing the above error message

Expected Results:  
boot to some prompt to start the installation process

Hardware plattform: DELL Inspiron 5000e

I was able to boot from an old gentoo pentium3-1.4 20030911 CD1 without any
problems.
