Pawel is currently working in the Chromium project. He would like to become the maintainer of Chromium (and any related packages) in Gentoo. He has already submitted a preliminary version of an ebuild (bug #278975) for it. Since he is working in the upstream team, I think him being a Gentoo developer would be great for Chromium support in Gentoo. I'll be mentoring him throughout the application process, and we should have the ebuild quiz ready in about a week.
Do you plan on maintaining more than chromium? For a single pkg proxy maintaining makes more sense.
I'd going to be more involved than only packaging Chromium, here are few things I'm also interested in doing: - helping making packages stable - maintaining these packages: bug #105816 (logcheck) bug #178716 (peazip) bug #194137 (gimp-lqr-plugin) - admin tools, like cleaning /etc/portage etc. If you want, we can wait with the recruitment process to see for both me and you what's the best option. I should have the ebuild for Chromium ready soon (days), and we can try proxy maintainership. Please be aware that Chromium makes releases very frequently - even once a week (for the dev channel). They still go through QA, though less strict than for stable and beta releases.
