Description Jeremy Murphy 2008-11-04 13:22:50 UTC
Triple-click-and-hold on a multi-line (ie: wrapped) row of text in the history followed by scrolling downwards results in loss of all but the last row of the multi-line text that was initially selected.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start Konsole
2. set the size to 80x25 and font to Monospace, 9 point
3. emerge --info
4. scroll back to the start
5. triple-click-and-hold on the first line of output "Portage ...", which will almost certainly be multi-line (figure it out otherwise)
6. scroll back down so that all the output is selected
7. let go of your mouse button
*** That's sufficient to create the bug, the next steps are to verify it only.
8. scroll back up to the top - do not disturb the selected text
9. see that only the second line of the multi-line row is selected
10. copy the selected text and paste it somewhere to verify

This also happens on my ~amd64 system. This bug is not a big deal, but I thought it was kind of interesting.

We can't do anything about this, try to upgrade to 3.5.10 if you haven't already, upstream stopped development of kde3 so closing
Comment 2 Jeremy Murphy 2009-08-18 07:44:37 UTC
Turns out that this bug still exists in 4.3.0, so that's what I'm refocusing it on.
Comment 3 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-08-18 08:44:34 UTC
In that case report it into upstream bugzilla :]
http://bugs.kde.org/
because they are the one supposed to write patches on feature requests :]
