Description Eduardo R E 2002-10-29 05:03:47 UTC
Well, the problem is that I installed Gnome 2 in my new Gentoo linux, and when I
login with xdm, a screen of Gnome (that don't change, but of course I could
moove my mouse, that is a cross) appears, but after a few seconds instead of
start Gnome, I'm returned to xdm, and if I login, the same thing happens.

I have installed enlightenment (0.16) and through enlightenment I can run the
apliccations Gnome installed, such as the Control Panel, or anything else.

NOTE: I have another problem that I'm going to report in another bug (I don't
know if this is a bug!): It's that gdm (v. 2.4.0.11) login no user, neither my
user edulix nor root. I type my user in the box, press Enter, and appears a
menssage that says "Authentication failed".
