A new version of SynCE has been released, please update the tree (I didn't check, but I believe a version bump would be sufficient here).
Created attachment 64098 [details, diff] proposed patch I'm happy to present SynCE 0.9.1 -- almost a year's worth of improvements! Changes include but are not limited to these: - Check for device and serial port in synce-serial-start - Implementation of some more RAPI calls - Better handling of dates before 1970-01-01 - Better handling of appointment timezones
Created attachment 65087 [details] synce-0.9.1.ebuild This one has new dependencies.
Also compiles on amd64. Can I suggest adding the ~amd64 keyword?
(In reply to comment #3) > Also compiles on amd64. Can I suggest adding the ~amd64 keyword? Small caveat with my previous comment: If compiled the "gnome" use flag this ebuild attempts to build synce-gnomevfs. There is still a problem with this package on amd64. Without the gnome use flag the package builds & works ok (I have not tried the kde use flag)
Please open a new bug, and give more details about the problems you're experiencing there.
Created attachment 65996 [details] Ebuild that excludes gnome packages on amd64 I am happy to open a separate bug for the synce-gnomevfs problem, but can I am attaching a version of the ebuild that excludes the gnome packages on amd64. This will allow amd64 users to use their pdas via the command line while the gnome problems are resolved.
synce-gnomevfs problem is now listed under bug #102632
Why is this still not in portage? Is something wrong with it?
