After yesterdays and todays emerge-webrsync, I get this: # emerge -Duvp --newuse world These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating world dependencies \ !!! Forget about it. I had a forgotten "-x86" entry for linux-headers in /etc/portage/package.keywords, back from the time when linux-headers was for 2.4 kernels and I needed linux26-headers. Interesting that this didn't come up earlier.
