I have perl-core/digest-base-1.10 and want to upgrade dev-lang/perl to version 5.8.7. But perl stops emergeing with the following error: * checking 2024 files for package collisions existing file /usr/share/man/man3/Digest::file.3pm.gz is not owned by this package 1000 files checked ... 2000 files checked ... * spent 0.451420068741 seconds checking for file collisions * This package is blocked because it wants to overwrite * files belonging to other packages (see messages above). * If you have no clue what this is all about report it * as a bug for this package on http://bugs.gentoo.org package dev-lang/perl-5.8.7 NOT merged I have just recently turned collision-protect on in make.conf Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

Please change hardware to "All" - it happens for me on x86 as well.
