I forgot to mention:

gcc-version compiled with: 3.4.4

My CFLAG variable: CFLAGS="-O2 -march=athlon-xp -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe -msse
-mmmx -m3dnow"

I should have done this before submitting the bug report but I'm going to see
what the outcome is compiling with gcc 3.3.5.

It gets better now...

Compiled amarok with gcc 3.5.5 and crashes when certain tracks are played... and
then it open an instance of thunderbird... I don't get the relation but that's
what happens....

xmms is only used for visualization plugins, not as an engine.

And btw, switching back and forth from gcc-3.3 to gcc-3.4 will only cause
troubles, you have to make sure your system is all built with gcc-3.3, or all
built with gcc-3.4.

oh my. then I completely misunderstood. I do apologize for wasting your time the....

Thanks for the information on gcc. I really didn't know that. Thankfully, I
don't swap between versions. I usually switch version for a particulars build
and scenarios (such as this one) then switch back.

Again, sorry.
