Maybe we need https://github.com/calf-studio-gear/calf/commit/d8e66c44fdca26b7355eb49861f2dbdd0cfcf159 as well?
i got this error when bumping this version. but it's pretty weird. i used patch from 0.90.6. part of the patch is renaming calf.desktop.in to calf.desktop and some fixes within it. it seems to me like the patching system isn't really doing what it should. if the file was renamed correctly, it would exist, but it does not. i thought it might be something with my system, but apparently it's not. oh, and 9999 already contains the fix by upstream and emerges fine.
Not saying it's what happened here, but fwiw, if you run scrub-patch on a patch which adds/renames a file, it'll break it, so that could be it
you're right, scrub-patch is broken in that sense...
