Description Andreas Sturmlechner gentoo-dev 2025-05-01 12:52:18 UTC
Upstream git master is currently seeing both KF6-porting as well as kmymoney 5.2-release preparation (which will not yet officially support KF6 as far as I understand).

Therefore kde overlay currently tracks git master with 2 live ebuilds per package:
- app-office/kmymoney-5.2.9999:5 # git master
- app-office/kmymoney-9999:0 # git master w/ -DBUILD_WITH_QT6=ON
- app-office/libalkimia-8.2.9999 # git master
- app-office/libalkimia-9999 # git master w/ -DQT_MAJOR_VERSION=6

Given the slow pace we will probably not be able to wait for their first KF6 support release and cut a snapshot (again) before.

This is currently single-handedly blocking the following cleanups:
- app-crypt/gpgme[qt5]
- dev-libs/kdiagram:5
- dev-libs/qtkeychain[qt5]
- kde-frameworks/kholidays:5

I'll raise this again on the KMM dev mailing list, but my understanding is that the 5.2 release is getting close, and once that is done, the completion of the Qt6 porting should follow fairly soon. I don't know if the Qt6 port will be 5.2.1 or if we'll just go to 6.0.
