Description Kilian Hagemann 2005-06-08 03:32:12 UTC
When I emerge the latest stable version of eric(3.5.1) the emerge completes but
does not actually install the core application.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge eric
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Only patch_modpython.py and the docs are installed

Expected Results:
Installion of entire application

The relevant line from 'emerge eric' output:

>>> Install eric-3.5.1 into /var/tmp/portage/eric-3.5.1/image/ category
dev-util
Sorry, you must have QScintilla 1.3 or snapshot-20041001 or higher.
Sorry, you must have QScintilla 1.3 or snapshot-20041001 or higher.

Seems like my qscintilla is too old, but 'etcat versions qscintilla' says:
*  dev-python/qscintilla :
        [M~ ] 1.4-r1 (0)
        [M~ ] 1.5-r1 (0)
        [M~ ] 1.5.1 (0)
        [   ] 1.54 (0)
        [   ] 1.60 (0)
        [  I] 1.61 (0)

and 'qpkg -vv -c qscintilla' shows no corruptions. Strange no-one else has
reported that problem...

Hello,

I just emerged it and it works for me. I am using python 2.4.1 though, which
seems to be the only difference. I'm out of time now though. So if you could
look at my emerge info maybe you can see some other differences.

I had same etcat info as you did on qscintilla.

I can't reproduce this. Everything is installed properly on my boxes and eric
itself is installed as /usr/bin/eric3. Reopen bug if this is still an issue.
Comment 3 Kilian Hagemann 2005-10-02 04:47:51 UTC
Ok, when I tried to emerge it today it worked fine. I've done a few upgrades
since, so the culprit must lie somewhere there. Let's leave it as resolved
