From the changelog (https://texstudio-org.github.io/CHANGELOG.html) there don't seem to be any major dependency changes, so it might be a simple bump. 

UPDATE: so I just copied the ebuild to my local overlay, renamed it to 4.8.6, and emerged it. It installs, and seems to run fine (though I haven't by any means done any extensive testing).
