Description Dan Andresan 2005-06-04 19:39:30 UTC
busybox-1.00-r4 says:
make: *** [busybox] Error 1
 * Your glibc sucks, ignorning static build failure.
 * See http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94879
>>> Test phase [not enabled]: sys-apps/busybox-1.00-r4

OK, what does it mean that my glibc sucks? How should I make it not suck
anymore? The link indicated gives no explanation of the problem, and no
solution.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
I received the "Your glibc sucks" message.

Expected Results:
Explain why my glibc sucks, and which steps should I take to turn it into a
"suckless "glibc.

Also, it would be helpfull if messages addressed to user should be a little
bit more on a technical side. It's frustrating, I know, but let's keep
Gentoo's quality at the high standard we've got used to.

Many thanks,
Dan.

SpanKY, don't close this bug again, please.

This is a bug *related* with 94879, and not a duplicate.
Actually, I did what it was suggested at the end of 94879:

I agree, you don't have time to fix it. But, be leaving it open, somebody
might want to help and explain it.

Thank you very much for your understanding,
Dan Laba.
