This bugreport is a container for "feature requests" on GenBot
Comment 1 Sven Vermeulen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-29 06:23:50 UTC
Remove the !seen from GenBot. jeeves is far more powerful and proves to be more
accurate. It has regexp support and such.

It just sucks to see GenBot say "never saw <foo>" while jeeves gives a good answer.
Comment 2 Sven Vermeulen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-06-10 10:22:40 UTC
GenBot can be taught stuff, with "GenBot: GRP is the Gentoo Reference Platform".
However, every one can remove factoids ("GenBot: forget GRP") or change them
("GenBot: no, GRP is stupid").

Gentoo developers should have the possibility to lock factoids so that only
developers can change them.

bummer. I hoped to never see jeeves and genbot compared.
two unique bots with unique functions each.
