Description Dr Trevor Marshall 2002-10-21 08:27:11 UTC
I have Gentoo 1.4_rc1 configured with Gnome and Mozilla (fully up-to-date as of
last night).

When I go to my own website (http://TrevorMarshall.com/) Mozilla will not
display any text. Everything else behaves normally, all the style sheet
backgrounds, etc, but no fonts...

On that website I have style sheet statement of the form:
P {font: 12px/16px verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; margin-top: 5px;}

I am figuring that the basic Gentoo has none of the named fonts installed. But
why didn't it display something for the "sans-serif" specification?

..Trevor..
ps: websites without this stylesheet statement are OK of course....

Fine this side. Please note that you need "truetype" in your USE for
xfree to install MS truetype fonts. Also, I have made a few fixes in
the fonts, so maybe consider updating portage, and remerging 4.2.1.
