Created attachment 896851 [details] Screenshot of the broken main game menu When playing the game /Noreya: The Gold Project/ from Steam with the current latest Nvidia’s graphic drivers, version 555.58.02, the main menu is broken (dark, menu entry are glitched, and so on). When rolling back to the previous version 555.58, the main menu is displayed. However, I didn’t meet this issue on the few other games I tried, and I have to inform this game, Noreya, is based on Electron, which is shipped with the game. And I was unable to extract some output when launching the game manually. I can add the GPU is a Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti.

First I hear of this, but not much can do about it, may want to report upstream instead. At best I could mask a version if it's really broken, but some game-specific issues aren't really in that category and .02 has improvements for Plasma that users wouldn't want to lose in general. May want to browse the 555 thread[1] to see if anything similar been mentioned, albeit it's a big thread and it can be hard to find anything in it. Hello, thanks for the URL, I will try to spot something in it. About upstream, I already tried to report to them, but it got no answer yet, mostly because "why do you game on Linux?" kind of spirit. And because it works with the rollback, they might not see an issue from their side, also worth noting again it’s based on Electron, so I guess they are not in charge of the graphic stack. On the same topic, someone told me their Firefox lost the ability to use hardware acceleration for some media. I didn’t take the time to test it yet.
Hello, little update here: I switched to the 6.6.38 kernel, was previously on 6.6.30, and switched again on 555.58.02 drivers. I still meet the issue, but I don’t see the missing hardware support in Firefox, so this is not related.
Just in case of, here an URL where I capture the faulty behavior of the game under driver version 555.58.02: https://thican.net/~thican/noreya_display_issue_nvidia_555.58.02_2024-07-31.mkv I tried to find a format more lighter to display this issue (such as apitrace), I just have an 18MiB file.

I forgot to mention, system is under kernel 6.10.1 (I was previously unable to update because of a misconfiguration)
