I have encountered the exact segmentation faults on startup as described in https://github.com/KLayout/klayout/issues/1619. Per the author, klayout should be upgraded to 0.28.16 to resolve the issue.

Reproducible: Always




System info: Intel core i7 12th gen processor
Using python3_12

Upgraded to klayout 0.29.2 and the problem goes away. Attached my ebuild.
