http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/alsa-guide.xml reads: "aoss mpg123 music.mp3" I have alsa driver installed (non-modularly) into my kernel and therefore skipped to "Installing the ALSA Utils" in "Gentoo Linux ALSA Guide". After executing the command aoss mpg123 8bp044-01-goto80-ter4.mp3 the mp3 was played very fast, in about 1 or 2 seconds. If I execute command "mpg123 8bp044-01-goto80-ter4.mp3", it plays normally. The mp3 is taken from ftp://ftp.scene.org/pub/music/groups/8bitpeoples/8bp044-01-goto80-ter4.mp3 There is not explicitly stated in the Gentoo Linux ALSA Guide that the user should expect or check playback at correct speed, but I expect this was not the intended behaviour and therefore consider this a bug anyway.
