OK, with that fix, I get just one failure (FAIL: elf/tst-shstk-legacy-1g).
I filed https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=31877 upstream. I don't know if the znver3/4 thing is a coincidence.
The bug has been referenced in the following commit(s): https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=c9c5100bdbf0ad570dd67ba4a20152579aa6cc3d commit c9c5100bdbf0ad570dd67ba4a20152579aa6cc3d Author: Sam James <sam@gentoo.org> AuthorDate: 2024-06-12 23:28:58 +0000 Commit: Sam James <sam@gentoo.org> CommitDate: 2024-06-12 23:28:58 +0000 sys-libs/glibc: XFAIL tst-shstk-legacy-1g test Pending investigation. Bug: https://bugs.gentoo.org/927973 Signed-off-by: Sam James <sam@gentoo.org> sys-libs/glibc/glibc-2.39-r9.ebuild | 3 +++ sys-libs/glibc/glibc-9999.ebuild | 3 +++ 2 files changed, 6 insertions(+)
reproducible for sys-libs/glibc-2.39-r6 with -O3 -pipe -march=alderlake -flto -Werror=odr -Werror=lto-type-mismatch -Werror=strict-aliasing -ggdb3 -frecord-gcc-switches
(In reply to Arniii from comment #15) I only applied the XFAIL to >=2.39-r9.
