Imagemagick detects features at runtime by the presence of installed libtool archives (.la) files, which are not installed by default with slibtool....

To fix this media-gfx/imagemagick must be built with 'rclibtool' or 'rdclibtool' (Debug version).

Its a lot easier to read in the bug list the other way...

The bugs depend on this, though. It's not the other way around. You need to fix IM, not fix lots of other packages. Otherwise it looks like *other people* need to work on their individual apckages.
