Two releases happened since the version in the tree. New features as well as numerous bug fixes have been implemented. Requesting a version bump. Reproducible: Always
Also shocked at how old the version in the tree is. I just watched a video from 5 months ago at FOSDEM 2024 saying "current release ngspice-42 from Dec 27th 2023" which at that point was 3 months old. It's now August 2024. 8 months since ngspice-42 @ 2023-12-27 1 year since ng-spice-41 @ 2023-08-16 1 year and 4 months since ng-spice-40 @ 2023-04-01 (Gentoo's current package) With KiCad now converging on ngspice integration, it seems the package will be receiving more focus and needs more attention from Gentoo. Should be a straight version bump, no big issues necessary.
Version 43 is out now
I'll CC the kicad maintainers although the person who filed it is one of them. Zoltan, please consider adopting it.
