Well, KDE herd won
Comment 3 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-10 01:59:37 UTC
Well, KDE herd won´t solve this, I´m almost sure...

A link to a possible kernel patch: http://lkml.org/lkml/2005/3/19/63
Comment 4 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-10 02:05:48 UTC
You should also post emerge --info output and exact kernel version you are using.
Comment 5 Daniel Drake (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-10 14:33:09 UTC
Yep, please try that patch.

Comment 7 Marcus D. Hanwell (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-17 05:52:42 UTC
Just to add that I have been suffering from this same bug it appears. Also on
amd64 using KDE 3.4. The system has become unstable and crashes at random
times. I am also getting bad swap messages, but this could be unrelated to this
issue. I will take a look at the patch once I get home and give it a try. I
have included the relevant section of my leg entries - I am seeing this stuff
more and more, and would like to stop my main work box behaving like a Windows
box ;)

Please reopen when you have tested the patch. Note that it will not solve the
problem, but debug info will be generated in dmesg, which will need to be sent
upstream.
