After upgrading to version 1.68 of xnview, I cannot start it anymore: there is no command "xnview". It seems there are no executables installed by the ebuild: igent:~ # equery f xnview [ Searching for packages matching xnview... ] x11-misc/xnview-1.68 * Contents of x11-misc/xnview-1.68: /etc /etc/env.d /etc/env.d/99XnView /opt /opt/XnView /opt/XnView/Filters /opt/XnView/lib /opt/XnView/lib/libformat.so -> /opt/XnView/lib/libformat.so. /opt/bin /usr /usr/lib /usr/lib/X11 /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/XnView Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge xnview 2. type "xnview[RET]" 3. Hmm, how does the build log go for this?
Created attachment 58277 [details] emerge log of installing xnview I added the log-file of the xnview emerge.
please translate that log into english... i don't speak german the compilation works fine for me, and it starts/runs properly try compiling with -O2
Created attachment 61801 [details] log of xnview emerge (in english)
Created attachment 61803 [details] log of xnview installation, with -O2
(Sorry, I entered comments and then hit "create attachment", so my comments are lost) I did as requested: first log was made with LANG= emerge xnview the second with CFLAGS="-O2 -pipe -mcpu=750" LANG= emerge xnview Nothing changed: emerge completes with no errors, but there is no executable
i have no idea what to tell you. this works fine on x86, but it seems as if ppc is having a problem sorry, i asked you to recompile before i realized that this was a binary only package... ppc, any help?
Sure, it looks like hansmi accidentally marked this stable when it shouldn't have been marked at all. There are no ppc releases for this version, so I've removed the ppc mark altogether from 1.68. Thanks for reporting!
with the last update version 1.50 is installed again, which works very well! good work, but I hope 1.6x will come soon.
