Mono is now at 0.16. The package inside gentoo seems to be 0.13.
I just renamed the ebuild and got some GC_pthread_create undefined function errors. Therefore I believe either that my system was badly installed or that the requirements for that ebuild has been changes for this release. I'm trying to figure out which module generate the header/implementation for that function.
Mono 0.16 has a new dependence on the dev-libs/gc-6.1 library. The library is not inside gentoo therefore I added Bug 9161 to get it inside gentoo. With this library, I get pass the GC_pthread_create/GC_pthread_detach missing function but I hit another problem (may have something to do with my gc ebuild thought.) mono-0.16/mono/metadata/threads.c:405: undefined reference to `GC_MALLOC' mono-0.16/mono/metadata/threads.c:406: undefined reference to `GC_REGISTER_FINALIZER'
Mono 0.16 successfully install now. The issue was related to the gc ebuild. See Bug 9161.
