DEPEND="...dev-perl/module-build..." is already in the sdl-perl-2.1.2-r1 ebuild. Maybe portage is confused...could you please provide the output of both emerge -p sdl-perl and emerge -p module-build (all lower case in both instances). Thanks!
No response, and really, it's in the DEPENDS. Would need more feedback to be able to help (or just emerge module-build and move along)
