Yaboot does not suffice and grub for new world macs is the proper way of booting linux for PPC32. Users following the current PPC32 Handbook will mispartition their drives and potentially corrupt their root partition and boot partitions by trying to use yaboot.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open PPC32 Handbook.
2. Follow incorrect partitioning instructions for NewWorld Macs.
3. Follow handbook onto Configuring the Bootloader
4. Realize you've corrupted your root partition by installing multiple file types and grub to it.
5. Start over but follow Grub on New World Macs guide.
Actual Results:
One will have spent roughly eight days compiling locally on a 400mhz PowerBook Pismo then end up with a corrupted root partition if they attempt to not use yaboot but follow the New World Macs partitioning guide in the PPC32 handbook. This is outdated information causing user confusion.`

Expected Results:
A properly working Gentoo install for PPC32 New World Mac.

This is User Error but will continue to happen if no changes are made.

Looking at this report it seems the user first hit a reported issue with the PPC32 handbook giving information for x86 partition layouts ( #914868 ) then hit the known issue that yaboot is likely no longer fit for purpose and should be replaced with GRUB.

Steps to resolve this:

1. Confirm from user if anything else is broken in the handbook causing this
2. Resolve #914868
3. Merge https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/User:Immolo/NewWorldGRUB into the handbook after it meets the standards of the wiki (Already approved by gyakovlev)
4. Remove yaboot from the handbook

Steps 3 and 4 also apply to the PPC64 handbook as it seems the correct information for partitions have already been fixed there.

I have the hardware to do the work for most of this so please contact me if it helps get this fixed quicker.)
