After updating to wxGTK-2.4.2-r4 vlc hangs after starting.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge wxGTK-2.4.2-r4
2.start vlc
3.

Actual Results:  
vlc hangs

Expected Results:  
vlc starts normally

My first bug report. I hope this is fine.

Have you tried re-emerging vlc ?

I just emerged vlc, and for me vlc-0.8.1-r2 and wxGTK-2.4.2-r4 work fine with each other...

Teppo, what version of vlc? Please post the output of "emerge -pv media-video/vlc"

I think I'm having the same problem. vlc works, but the wxwindows / gtk interface doesn't show up, only the remote control (cli) interface shows up.

I've just re-emerged both wxGTK and vlc to see if the problem was there, and there was no change.

The gcc4 patch was breaking vlc. I've removed wxGTK-2.4.2-r4, so if you haven't already reverted back to -r3, doing so will fix this.
